How to Use the CAOS Recovery Dampener When Winching

1. Position the dampener – Lay it open on the ground in line with the winch line. Ensure the line is loose before installing the dampener.
2. Secure it in place – Fold the dampener over the cable, placing it in the central third of the line. Use the adjustable buckles to secure it.
3. Add weight – Fill the external pockets with loose sand or dirt (avoid using rocks or stones).
4. Ensure a safe environment – Keep all people, pets, and vehicles at a safe distance before applying tension to the winch line.
5. Adjust if necessary – If the dampener shifts, release tension before repositioning.
